The "well – baby" clinics (Tipat chalav) in Israel are public centers where preventive medicine services for offspring are offered. The clinic in Arad is located in the city center between two main walking routes, as well as near a school and other public buildings, and it's the only one in the city and its surrounding that provides this medical services. The aim of the project is to turn the building into an active environment for toddlers and their caregivers that will encourage health and early childhood development as well as stimulate the child’s interaction with his caregivers as well as with other children.

The project offers redesign of a structure that is adapted to the existing environmental conditions and reflects the characteristics and needs of the various users. The design reflects the urban texture and the geographical characteristics while preserving and combining the textures, materials and vegetation that exist in the site, as well as reference to the desert landscape and climate.

The location of the building in the heart of the city, with the combination of the various uses within its surroundings - is an opportunity to make it a community center that invites its visitors and passers-by to stay around it for most of the day.
